While you are sleeping, I should be doing things around the house or finishing up a transcript, but I am just going to hold you while you sleep.  I'm listening to you breathe as I stare at your adorable little arms and legs wrapped around my tummy.  Even though you are getting bigger, you are still my tiny baby.  This is the best feeling in the world, and it trumps anything else I could be doing right now.  So if the laundry doesn't get done today or I don't get the house picked up, it is okay by me because I won't get this day back and I won't always get to hold you like this while you sleep.  I might try, but I'm sure you won't always let me.

Happy Birthday, Gigi.

Happy birthday, Mom.  I still can't believe you and "Aunt Becky" from Full House are the same age today.  Thank you so much for being there for me/us these last couple months.  It is so reassuring to know I have so much support from you constantly, especially being a new mommy.  We hope you have/had a great day and we can't wait to go get a coconut snow cone with you next week when you get here.  Love you sooooo much.

It's still cute (only to me???). When he's older, he will think "tooting" is hilarious anyway; might as well start him early.

p.s. Please don't hold the baby talk and breaking out in song against me.  I will do whatever it takes to make my boy happy.  The jury is still out if it makes him happy or if he just thinks I'm crazy. 

2 months old!!!

I am such a big boy baby now.  I weigh 13.8 pounds and I was 23 inches when I went to the doctor last. (It's possible I'm longer now.)  I was in the 84th percentile for my weight at that last doctor's appt.  I have been to day care twice now, and even though my silly mommy cried her eyes out when she dropped me off, I did fine. 

I'm pretty much the cutest thing ever.

Note from Mom:  My baby is growing so fast.  How is he already 2 months old? He is starting to smile more, but it's still very random.  I try every day to get a picture of it, but he gets mesmerized by my phone or camera every time I try to get a picture.  OH, HOW I LOVE THIS BOY!!!  AND....he is not sleeping completely through the night, but he is only waking up once or twice to eat and then he's right back to sleep.  We are loving every minute.

p.s. Taking my baby to day care is the hardest thing I've ever done.  I cried uncontrollably.  I mean, I had that ugly cry face where you can't control your mouth. You're trying so hard not to cry but you just can't control it.  I thought I would be okay.  I WASN'T.  Luckily, my deposition only lasted a couple of hours and I was able to come pick him up soon after.  I was able to stay home with him the entire next day and tried to make up that couple of lost hours from the day before.

Randomness.

Some things that have been going on in my life that have caused a break in blogging:

     1) My son is awake a lot more these days, which leaves me no time to get anything done :)

     2) My grandpa passed away the weekend before last so we were in Odessa for a bit.  (While it was a very sad time, Parker got to meet a lot of my family while we were there).

     3) Bryan's grandparents and dad were in town this past weekend.

     4) My son is awake a lot more these days......

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE him being awake and looking at those pretty eyes of his, but I am a sucker for holding him when he's awake and don't get much done.  So here is a wrap-up of the past couple of weeks in pictures.

I can't imagine what this family must be going through.  There are so many "important" things I needed to get done today (including catching up on my blog), but I think I will just hold my baby, play with my baby, stare at my baby, and know how lucky I am to have him.
