Still laughing.

Parker has to have a passport for a trip we will be taking. This is his passport picture.  It makes me laugh every time I see it.  You can't tell from the picture, but he is sitting on his daddy's head.  The funniest thing about this is that the passport doesn't expire for five years. :)

In five years.

Is it weird that today I am already thinking my baby will start school in five years.....and how sad I'm going to be on that day???  Why am I so cuh-razy?  I feel for those mommies that are dropping their babies off to kindergarten for the first day today.  I'm sure it's bittersweet.

For the time being, my little chunk still fits in my arms, and I am going to try to hold him for as long as possible...probably until I drop him off his first day of school....or maybe his first day of middle school.....yeah, that sounds better.

Missing my best friend.

Chicago stole her from me, and I miss her A LOT.

Funny guy......I mean "most handsome" guy.

As Bryan and I were arguing last night over who we think Parker would be better suited to look like, he, of course, wanted to relive high school days.  This conversation was had:

Bryan:  "I was voted most handsome in high school."

Me:  "Well, I was voted best dressed."

Bryan:  "That's because you wore your mom's Rocky Mountains."

Sidenote:  He was not voted most handsome.  He was nominated for most handsome along with a few other things.  He didn't win any of them, so they gave him a sympathy category of "nominated for most things" or some kind of silly name.

Babe, time to quit reliving the old Bowie days and realize that while you may have been more handsome and popular than me in high school, as adults, I win.

After numerous attempts....

....I finally caught a couple of smiles on video.  These smiles don't even compare to what he does in the morning when Mommy talks silly talk to him, but they will have to do for now.  His Granzie (my MIL) has been wanting to see a smile, but there is something about Granzie that makes Parker so comfortable that he just wants to sleep every time he's around her.  :)  This is for you, Granzie.

Little Boys

Within the last couple of days, two of my friends have given birth to baby boys.  This makes me miss the day Parker was born.  I wish I could go back to that day.  Best day of my life.

Welcome to the world, Austin and Nicolas.  I'm sure your mommies love you just as much as I love this little boy:
11 weeks old

I LOVE my new play mat.  Thank you, Gigi.

I wish I could grab one of those things.

I finally get a picture with my Mommy.  I make her look good (even if she is pale and needs to fix her hair).

Love.

How I know.....

....I'm officially a mom:

1) I spent way too much money at Sam's today.
2) I care more about how Parker looks than how Mommy looks.  If I get around to myself, we are having a good day.
3) Even though I swore I would never have one, those "Baby on Board" signs are becoming more and more attractive every day.  (You really notice how crazy people drive when you have such precious cargo with you.)
4) I can't get through too many conversations without talking about that sweet boy.
5) Spit up doesn't phase me.  I can't say the same for Bryan.  He went to give Parker a kiss tonight and ended up with spit up all over his mouth. :)  Spit happens.
6) My heart is so full of love that I think it might explode.

Those cheeks....

Picture quality is terrible.  They are all from my phone.  If you want to try to catch smiles, you learn to work with what is close.
