Best. Easter. Ever.

We had such a great Easter weekend.  Saturday we took Parker to see the Easter bunny.  He hated him.  It was terrible.  The photographer couldn't take that picture quick enough.  We went to church Saturday evening.  Great service.  We went to the Dallas Arboretum with Granzie on Sunday, had a picnic, took pictures, played in the grass, took pictures with a live bunny -- much better experience.

10 Months

I'm such a big boy

My mom can hardly keep up with me

And I do NOT like it when she puts me down

Even through I'm throwing fits now, all I have to do is give her this look....and I've got her right where I want her

We are way behind.  Parker turned 10 months a few weeks ago.  He started crawling the weekend before he turned 10 months.  He is a crawling machine.  

At 10 months Parker is:

Crawling

Trying to pull up

Two teeth

Saying Da-da ALL THE TIME

Eating off the big kid menu at school (in tiny pieces, of course)

Getting more and more cuddly.  He gives kisses and hugs to his mommy and daddy all the time

Throwing fits, arching his back, and does not like not getting his way

Biting...sort of.  I don't think he knows what he is doing, but he bites hard

Screams loud. 

He is all of a sudden scared of things, like the Dance and Play Puppy that he used to love....scared to death of that thing.

Bryan and I also took our first overnight trip away from Parker a few weeks ago with our friends Aaron and Renee (parents to Parker's girlfriend, Logan).  We went to Vegas and Parker's Gigi came and stayed the weekend with him.  He did great.  I missed him like crazy.

The month of 9 has quite a few milestones.

We have teeth, People.  Two of them.  And they are the sweetest things I've ever seen.

 AND I've been told that this little boy is looking more and more like his daddy.  

 AND Da-da makes up the majority of our conversations these days.

 AND I swear he's going to take off crawling any day.  He gets in the position and gets all set, and then back to the sitting position he goes. 

Waving bye-bye is next on the list.  You can see that little brain working when he moves his arm and hand back and forth.

NINE MONTHS.

At NINE months, Parker is 22 pounds, 9 ounces

29.5 inches

Scooting but not crawling

Saying bah-bah-bah all the time.  Sometimes I think I hear him sneak in a da-da-da

He gives open mouth kisses upon request

He loves water bottles....and drinking water....especially out of the water bottle

He laughs so hard when Chloe runs by 

He laughs so hard when he gets tickled

He still gives his mommy butterflies in her tummy every day

 

Doing great.

Parker did so great with the ear tube procedure.  We literally sat in the consult room for 5-7 minutes and the doctor was back with us, telling us how well everything went.  Within 15 minutes of leaving him, we were back with our baby in recovery, who was still a little sleepy (he had a general anesthetic with a mask) but back to himself pretty quick.  Everything went so quick, that I really had no time to get upset or have anxiety.  I did get a little frog in my throat when they took him back, but that was it.  He was extra tired the day of the procedure but had no other side effects.  He is doing great, and hopefully this will help heal his tiny ears and we won't suffer through ear infection after ear infection.

Parker was really sick (upper respiratory and ear infection) the week of the surgery, which ended up being on Valentine's Day, so I didn't get to post about his first Valentine's Day.  It was very eventful.  Parker went to bed and Mommy and Daddy made a pizza and had some wine.

Tubular.

My baby is having surgery in the morning....only for tubes in his ears, BUT my tiny baby is having surgery in the morning.  Please pray for a quick and easy procedure with no complications....and for this Mommy to be strong for her baby. 

Eight months.

NEW MILESTONES AT 8 MONTHS:

Saying bah-bah-bah-bah

Getting more comfortable in the crawling position

Weighing 22 pounds (the weight gain has slowed tremendously this month)

Crying when Mommy leaves the room 

Parker has to go see the ENT tomorrow.  He had ear infections a few weeks ago, and although the infection has cleared, there is still fluid that is unable to drain.  Hoping it's just a quick fix.
