Showered with love.

I had such a great time at the baby shower in Odessa last weekend.  There were some friends that came that I hadn't seen in a really long time, and it was so nice to catch up.  Baby Boy got a lot of awesome things, things he's really going to need and things his mommy is super excited about.

Speaking of "Baby Boy," why don't we go ahead and start calling him by his name:
Yep, that's right.  His name is Parker...FOR SURE (unless for some strange reason he is a she).  And remember when I was talking about my creative and talented aunt, well, her daughter (my cousin) takes after her and painted Parker this picture to hang in his nursery.  She also made this amazing cross for his nursery:
These pictures don't even do the two justice.  They are awesome.

Something else that was awesome: the decorating that was done for the shower.

If you'll notice, right beside the adorable diaper cake, there is a little orange soccer ball.  Details.  Love it.

Unfortunately, with all the visiting I was doing with friends and family, I completely forgot to take pictures of people that were there.  I did manage to get a couple after the shower with a few of the people that were still there.  Sorry if you were there and I missed a photo op with you.  There was so much going on.

In the pic above, from left to right: My cousin Brittany (who painted the pic and made the cross), my Aunt Binky (who got out of the hospital that morning and still looks great), my cousin Ashton, my mom, and some girl with a big belly.

In the pic above, a few of my friends from high school.  From left to right, Rachel (baby in her tummy), Kylah with her son Michael, Amy with her son Sebastian, and some girl with a big belly.

Just a small portion of the sweet gifts (everything I was able to put in my carry-on bag):

My mom is bringing the rest of it up for me in a few weeks.  I don't think I've ever been excited or even slightly pleased about doing laundry, but I can't wait to get all his sweet little clothes washed and put away.

AND....his daddy put his crib together while I was gone.  I never asked for it to happen, but I was secretly hoping I would come home to a crib in my baby's room.

The day after the shower, I spent the day at my dad and Toni's house and just relaxed.  It was beyond nice.  If you are pregnant, hanging out with my dad is the best.  He loves ice cream.  He made me a milkshake (as good as the one my hubby makes) and after I was finished with it, he asked if I wanted another one.  I declined even though I really wanted another one.  :)

Thanks again to all of you sweet ladies who made it to the shower and to the sweet ladies that worked so hard putting it together.  It really meant a lot, and you made me and Parker feel so loved.
